Carolin Müller-Dohle has been working since this season as a dramaturge at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. Before that, she worked as a music dramaturge at the Staatstheater Darmstadt and as public relations consultant, online editor, and personal consultant to Nikolaus Bachler, state director of the Bayerische Staatsoper.
She received the Klaus Zehelein Award for newcomer dramaturges (music theater). She conceives interdisciplinary music theater projects (among others, “Atem/Soufle” (“Breath/Soufle”), directed by Karsten Wiegand and Nadia Beugré; “metamorphosen” (“metamorphoses”); and “Apocalypse/not now”), and she develops cinematic translations of compositions together with composers and directors (among others, Christian Jost’s “Dichterliebe” [“A Poet\'s Love”], directed by Franziska Angerer).
Carolin Müller-Dohle studied literature, art, and media studies in Konstanz and Rome, and she received her master\'s degree in music theater dramaturgy from the Theaterakademie August Everding München.
